About Me
Zack Yen is a filmmaker and photographer currently studying Film Production at Emerson College, where he focuses on cinematography and visual storytelling. Passionate about the emotional and atmospheric power of images, Zack is drawn to both narrative filmmaking and observational photography. His work is often inspired by his love for live events and concerts, where he aims to capture the raw energy, movement, and occasionally fleeting moments with his own stylistic eye.
In addition to event photography, Zack shoots street and editorial photography, preferring to blend spontaneity with intentional composition. He has experience in magazine creative direction and layout design, bringing a strong understanding of visual cohesion, typography, and storytelling across platforms.
Outside of digital work, Zack maintains a deep interest in analog processes. He regularly shoots 16mm film and 35mm photography and develops his own photographs in the darkroom, valuing the tactile, hands-on craft of traditional image-making.
